myface Te Kopuru

myface Te Kopuru is a community based photographic project.

Over the next few months I will be taking portarits of the people living in Te Kopuru a small town in Northland, New Zealand. The photographs will be transfered to kauri wood and used to form a permanent artwork/mural sited in Te Kopuru.

Along with the current people living there I want to include portraits of people who called Te Kopuru home in the past, both living or dead.

If you want to be involved then, if you are in Te Kopuru over the summer come into The Really Good Shop, and you can leave your photo there, or email it to me: simongray@ihug.co.nz, or send a copy to: Simon Gray, 160 Te Maire Road, RD1, Dargaville, 0371. I will also be in the shop at various times over the summer.

As the project gets going I will be adding some of the portraits here, as well as regular progress reports.

If you want to know more please feel free to contact me.
